Emmaus kicks off Spiritual Emphasis Days 2016
He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit…
Spiritual Emphasis Days is a long-standing tradition at Emmaus where a time is set aside at the beginning of each fall semester to re-orient our lives together as a campus community in order to deepen one another’s faith. An education at Emmaus is not just about “what job will I be able to get when I graduate” it is about Spiritual Transformation. Colossians chapter 3 reminds each of us of that essential to this transformational process is the need to “keeping seeking the things above” (ESV). Each year the Office of Student Development invites a keynote speaker to encourage us from God’s word with relevant and challenging messages.
This year’s theme is simply the word ABIDE. Our invited speaker is Mr. Mark Shelley, from Greensboro, NC. Mark and his wife Kim have been active in church and camp ministry for over twenty years. We are thrilled to have Mark and Kim with us and look forward to their ministry on campus.
